I have a serious problem. I have a slight addiction to Wal*Mart. No it's not the ridiculous crap at amazingly low prices...although I guess that depends on your definition of crap. I don't know what it is, but almost every single time I go into a Wal*Mart I find something amazingly Elvis! On our last adventure there I think I hit that jackpot!! 4, I repeat, 4 Elvis movies for only $14.99!! It was a complete steal! I'd have paid almost anything for them but I didn't have to, and now here I am watching Clambake, seeing one beautifully handsome Elvis and listening to his pretty-darn-near-perfection singing voice!! Tell me, how can you resist this!?

Road Rage

I think I'm about to develop it. The last year has definitely not been my year for cars. I never had car problems until I got married and then BAM, my car started to fall apart and I became an accident magnet. The first car accident I was in was last January. Technically it was my first moving accident because about a week before that some girl hit my car in the parking lot in the middle of the night! (at least she was good enough to leave her name and number) But on January 31st (happy birthday erin) I was stopped at a red light and some dude didn't realize the red lights on that back of my car don't mean I'm moving! You might recall the beautiful neck brace I wore for 2 months after that....yuck. After that my car continued to just break down. Every month I swear there was something that had problems!! Until one day......

There was murder on Parkway. The perpetrator: a white mommy-mini-van. The victim: a tricked out, loud as all get out muffler, Japanese car.

Failed: English

I survived the first week of school, but I don't know that I'll make it much longer! I'm taking 2 English classes this semester for my major and I'm afraid I feel completely out of place. I love English; I love words, putting them together, reading and seeing how other people put words together, all of it. As we went around the room and told everyone our favorite books/authors/poems etc. I felt myself shrinking into the background as people spouted off names like Hemingway, Milton, Faulkner, Shakespeare and more. All I could think was that I have seriously failed as an English major. I don't read those kinds of authors, I hate poetry and I don't dissect everything I read. A lot of times I like to read books that I'm sure aren't considered "literature" and that most of the people in my class would not consider to have any literary value, but I love them!! This is going to be an interesting semester...
